Ron Paul warns Feds may stage 'Waco styled' raid

While Cliven Bundy, his family, their supporters, and myriad militiamen forced federal agents from the Bureau of Land Management to back off of the Bundy's Nevada ranch and release hundreds of captured cattle, one politician warns that the feds could be planning an explosive and potentially deadly second chapter in the issue.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Ron Paul, during an April 14 appearance on Fox News, warned Americans of a possible Waco styled assault. "They may come back with a lot more force like they did at Waco with the Davidians," he said.
Paul criticized the situation, stating that the problem arose because of Nevada's public ownership laws, which can make it unclear just who has rights to what land.
"They had virtual ownership of that land because they had been using it. but it's not clean enough. I think land should be in the states and I think the states should sell it to the people, it's worked out quite well in big states," he said. "You need the government out of it, and I think that's the important point."
Over the weekend of April 11, hundreds of supporters, armed and unarmed, chased off the agents in an intense stand down, which saw the release of four hundred of Bundy's seized cattle and the withdrawal of federal agents, winning what is supposedly a benchmark for citizen and states' rights.
The two decade long battle has closed at least one chapter. The BLM has twice taken Bundy to court, both times they have won. The agency accuses Bundy of owning them more than $1 million, while the Bundys disagree.
Bundy lost cattle grazing rights in the early 1990's, but has continued to graze his cattle on lands his ancestors farmed since the 19th century.
The BLM says it will continue to try and prosecute Bundy, but will do so through the legal system.
